1. Introduction

Welcome to Economy.fyi, a service operated by Economy.fyi Ltd. (“Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website (https://economy.fyi), related applications, and the data and services we provide (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms, along with our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. Please read these Terms carefully, as they form a legally binding agreement between you and Economy.fyi Ltd.

2. Eligibility

To use the Service, you must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements and are legally capable of entering into this Agreement.

3. Overview of the Service

Economy.fyi provides public access to attributed economic statistics, indicators, historical time series, and visualizations. Optional paid plans provide platform features such as expanded analysis tools, saved workflows, and higher usage limits. We do not charge a separate fee for access to a source where that source's terms require the statistics to remain available without an additional subscriber charge. Available subscription options may include:

• Monthly or Yearly Plans: Recurring billing until canceled
• Founder's Lifetime Plan: A one-time, non-recurring payment that grants access for the lifetime of the Service

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features at our discretion.

4. Account Registration and Security

You must register for an account to access the Service. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your credentials confidential and secure
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

5.1 Subscription Plans

Public data pages do not require a paid subscription. Access to paid features requires an active subscription or other qualifying plan. Current plan details, pricing, features, and duration are published on our Pricing Page before purchase.

5.2 Billing and Auto-Renewal

By subscribing, you authorize Economy.fyi Ltd. to charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) until you cancel. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before the next billing cycle.

5.3 Lifetime Plan

The Founder's Lifetime Plan is a one-time payment that grants lifetime access to the Service, subject to continued operation of the platform. Refund and cancellation rights required by applicable law are not excluded.

5.4 Cancellations and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Your access will continue until the end of the current billing cycle.

Refunds are provided where required by applicable law. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory consumer rights, including any applicable cooling-off or cancellation rights.

6. License and Acceptable Use

6.1 License Grant

Economy.fyi Ltd. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use our software and original presentation solely for personal or internal business purposes. Third-party statistics remain governed by their respective source terms, shown on our Data Sources page.

6.2 Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

• Resell or redistribute data from the Service
• Share login credentials or provide access to others
• Use scraping, bots, or automated tools to extract data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Service
• Use the Service for illegal, harmful, or deceptive purposes

Violations may result in immediate account termination and legal action.

7. Intellectual Property

Our software, original writing, visual design, normalization logic, and original analysis are the intellectual property of Economy.fyi Ltd. or its licensors. We do not claim ownership of public statistics supplied by the World Bank, BIS, FRED, IMF, or other identified providers. Provider names and marks belong to their owners; source references indicate provenance and do not imply endorsement.

You may not reproduce our protected software or original content without permission. Your rights to reuse an underlying third-party statistic depend on that provider's terms and any displayed attribution requirements.

8. Data Accuracy and Limitations

While we strive for accuracy and reliability, all economic data and insights are provided “as is.”

We do not guarantee:

• The accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of data
• That data will be error-free or uninterrupted
• That our analysis is suitable for your specific needs

The Service provides general economic information, not investment, financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice. You remain responsible for checking source releases and obtaining professional advice before acting on the information.

9. Availability and Changes

We aim to provide continuous access to the Service but make no guarantees regarding uptime. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

10. Third-Party Services

We integrate with third-party service providers for payments, authentication, hosting, email, security, and consent-controlled analytics. Economic statistics also come from identified third-party institutions. Their content and services are subject to their own terms. Current data licences, attribution, modification disclosures, and permission status are listed on our Data Sources page.

We exclude provider-restricted series from the commercial serving pipeline and disable sources that require commercial permission until that permission is recorded. You must not infer sponsorship, affiliation, or endorsement by any data provider.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” ECONOMY.FYI LTD. MAKES NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY
• FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE
• NON-INFRINGEMENT
• DATA ACCURACY OR AVAILABILITY

We disclaim all liability for reliance on the Service or any decisions made based on it.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Economy.fyi Ltd. shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill
• Any claim exceeding the total amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the event

These limitations apply regardless of the legal theory or whether we were advised of the possibility of damages.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Economy.fyi Ltd., its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses (including legal fees) arising out of:

• Your use of the Service
• Your breach of these Terms
• Your violation of any law or third-party rights

14. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or for operational or legal reasons.

Upon termination, your access will be revoked and your license will cease.

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, except that consumers retain any mandatory rights to bring proceedings in another court under the laws that apply to them.

16. Amendments

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or posted on our website. Continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Economy.fyi Ltd. concerning the Service. They supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, or understandings.
